Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026 — template prepared for launch; have it reviewed by a lawyer before relying on it.

1. The service

RasterKit ("we", "us") provides an HTTP API that renders URLs and HTML supplied by you into images and PDF documents ("renders"). The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

2. Accounts & keys

You are responsible for safeguarding API keys issued to your account and for all activity performed with them. Notify us promptly of any suspected compromise; you can revoke keys at any time from the dashboard.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to: (a) render content you have no legal right to access; (b) facilitate phishing, fraud, or impersonation; (c) circumvent paywalls or technical access controls; (d) probe or attack internal networks (ours or anyone's); (e) violate applicable law, including data-protection and intellectual-property law. Renders are produced from content you direct us to; you are solely responsible for the legality of that direction. We may suspend keys engaged in abuse, with notice where practicable.

4. Plans, billing & refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled in the billing portal. Metered overage is billed in arrears at the plan's published rate. Quotas reset each calendar month and do not roll over. You can cancel anytime, effective at period end. We do not guarantee refunds for partial periods, but contact support and we'll be reasonable.

5. Service levels

We target high availability but do not offer a contractual SLA on self-serve plans. Status is published on our status page. Your sole remedy for sustained unavailability is cancellation.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to content you submit and to the renders produced from it. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service (fetching, rendering, caching, and storing results for delivery). We may retain renders briefly for caching and delivery as configured by your requests.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is deleted on the schedule described in the privacy policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or dashboard notice at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
